Original persimmons are large, heart shaped fruits, ranging in colour from pale orange to a deep red orange. They can be eaten crisp and hard or soft and ripe. It all depends on user preference. 

Health Benefits - A good source of Vitamin A, C and manganese. 

Flavour - A silky slippery texture with a taste that is like combining a mango with a soft sweet chilli. They are rich, tangy and sweet all in one. 

Availability - Available March - July.

Storage - Store persimmons in the dry crisp area of the refrigerator.
